When you create a report and add hierarchies to the axes, all hierarchies that are not located on the axes will initially be set to their default value.

Hierarchies not located on an axis are called background hierarchies.

By changing the selection for a background hierarchy you will change the context of the results being viewed.

Note: changing the context not only applies to results presented in Grids and Charts, but also to any KPI results.

Changes to the selection for a hierarchy are done in the hierarchy editor.
