Conditional appearances

The conditional appearances window allows you to manage the conditional appearances for the current data source.

To open the conditional appearances window:

Right click on a member on one of the axes and select Manage... from the Appearance submenu.

Using the conditional appearances window

You can perform all actions related to conditional appearances, such as adding, editing and deleting from this window. When a number of conditional appearances have been defined, the window looks something like the following:

Each item is represented by a row containing an explanation of the condition and a preview of what the condition will look like.

You can create a new item by clicking the button.

The currently highlighted item can be edited by clicking the button or by double clicking on a row.

You can delete the highlighted item by clicking the button or all items using the button.

Combining appearances

Where more than one conditional appearance applies to a cell, DataWarehouse Explorer will try to combine the appearances. In some cases, appearances can't be combined. For example, this is the case with data bar and icon set appearances. In these situations, the conditional appearance that is the higher in the list will take precedence over the one lower in the list, which will be discarded. You can change the order of conditional appearances in the list using the and buttons.
