As well as exporting the entire report, you can also select to only export the contents of the grid. The grid can be exported to the following formats:
| • | Excel document The result data is copied to an Excel sheet as displayed in the grid, however, without any formatting. |
| • | Excel document with formatting |
| • | The result data is copied to an Excel sheet as displayed in the grid, including all formatting. |
| • | Excel document in tabular format The result data is copied in a tabular format, without any formatting. In this format, regardless if the grid is in Outline mode or not, for each hierarchy on the rows a separate column is created in Excel, and the hierarchy member caption is always entered in the Excel cell, even if the member is repeated multiple times. This format makes it easy to use grid data as a basis for additional actions, such as a mail merge. |
| • | Excel document as a PivotTable The result data is copied to an Excel sheet, and on another sheet a pivot table is created based on the data. This allows users to further analyze the data from within Excel. |
Exporting the grid
| • | Click the  Export button, and select the format from the sub menu you wish to export to. You will be prompted for the name of a file to save to. |
