Main window layout

After opening a typical report, the application will resemble the image below.

We can distinguish the following sections within the interface:

Application Menu

The application menu is invoked by clicking on the application button. The menu contains commands that relate to report management or application wide settings.
See the application menu topic for more information.

Quick access toolbar

A customizable toolbar located at the top for fast access to frequently used commands.
See the Quick access bar topic for more details.

Ribbon

The ribbon contains commands that relate to the application or current report as a whole.

Note: each Report Element or Tool Window contains its own toolbar for commands that relate only to that element or part.
See the ribbon topic for more information.

Report Title

Displays the title of the current report. When hovering over the title an infotip will be displayed with the full path of the current report.

Report Elements

Report elements are windows that contain data that is an integral part of the report, i.e. they are what will be present when exporting or printing the report.

See the report elements topic for more information.

Tool Windows

Tool windows contain tools to manage the content of the report, but that are not part of the report itself when printing or exporting.

See the tool windows topic for more information.
