Using visual totals |

The visual totals feature controls how values for parent members are aggregated. When visual totals are turned off, a parent member is always the sum of all child members (depending on the measure). When visual totals are turned on, and child members of the parent are displayed, the value for the parent member is the sum of the children that are present in the results. Children that are not present in the results are not included when calculating the parent value. Consider the following example, where a year, 2002, is split out against it quarters and we have eliminated the second quarter:
